Happy New Year! 2023 is a big year for me as I’ve got A LOT of projects coming out. If you’d like to get your hit of Josie Campbell-written superheroes, here’s everything from me this year:

January 17 – “The New Champion Of Shazam” #4

  • The FINAL ISSUE of my DC Comics Shazam miniseries is out January 17th! With STUNNING artwork by Evan “Doc” Shaner, this issue brings the miniseries to a close. It’s got fighting, existential questions, and a girl and rabbit in peril. What more could you ask for? Nothing! Go add this to your pull list and read the epic conclusion!

January 24 – “Lazarus Planet: We Once Were Gods” #1

  • If you’re sad to say goodbye to me writing Mary, don’t be — immediately after issue #4, I continue my adventures with Mary as part of DC Comics’ “Lazarus Planet” event! I’m joined by fantastic artist Caitlin Yarsky and colorist extraordinaire Jordie Bellaire.

February 7 – “Legion Of Super-Heroes” Animated Movie

  • I wrote the animated “Legion Of Super-Heroes” movie, which will be coming out on 4K Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, and Digital in February — as well as on HBO Max. Starring Meg Donnelly as Supergirl, Harry Shum Jr. as Brainiac 5, Jensen Ackles as Batman, and Darren Criss as as Superman, get ready to shout “Long Live The Legion” this February!

March 21 – “Wonder Woman” #797

  • I’m writing the back-up story for “Wonder Woman,” tying into the very cool, very epic “Lazarus Planet: Revenge Of The Gods” storyline by G. Willow Wilson! I’m joined by Yarsky and Bellaire on this issue as well as the very next issue…

April 18 – “Wonder Woman” #798

  • The fight with the Gods continues in this issue — as does my Mary back-up!

April 25 – “Revenge of the Gods” #4

  • Mary’s story wraps-up with the end of the “Revenge of the Gods” DC event!

May 9 – “The New Champion Of Shazam” Hardcover Collection

July 6th 2023 – “My Adventures With Superman” Animated Series

  • It’s the animated show you’ve been waiting for…”My Adventures With Superman!” Starring Jack Quaid as Clark Kent/Superman and Alice Lee as Lois Lane. The show will premiere on Adult Swim at midnight on July 6th, with the episodes being released on MAX and Toonami the next day.

July 21st – “Justice League: War World” Animated movie

  • I got to co-write this fantastic film with my pals and fellow TV/Comics writers Ernie Altbecker and Jeremy Adams! Get ready for Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman like you’ve never seen them before!

July 18 – “Knight Terrors: Wonder Woman” #1

  • Get ready for a spine-tingling tale of nightmares, body horror, and Wonder Woman! Excited to be part of the DC Comics summer horror event — you do NOT want to miss out! FOC June 25th

August 15 – “Knight Terrors: Wonder Woman” #2

  • The terrifying conclusion to Wonder Woman’s twisted tale! FOC July 23rd

October 24 – “Amazons Attack” #1

  • My last announced project for this year, “Amazons Attack” is spinning out of Tom King’s extremely cool “Wonder Woman” story. The prologue begins in the back-up of “Wonder Woman” #2 (out 10/17), and will continue in a brand new miniseries starting October 24th. Don’t miss it!
